One Piece TCG Pull Rates Explained: What's Really in a Booster Box (2026)
Published October 23, 2026 · Prices updated October 22, 2026
Short answer
A One Piece booster box has 24 packs of 12 cards. On average you get about 7 Super Rares, 1.3 alternate arts, a Secret Rare in 45% of boxes, an SP card in 1 of 6 and a manga rare in about 1 of 40 boxes. Those rare pulls hold most of a box's value, which is why the typical box is worth far less than the average one.
Every pull, per box and per case
Bandai doesn't publish odds, so these are averages from community case openings of recent English sets (sources at the bottom). “Chance per box” is the chance a single box has at least one.
| Pull | Per box | Per case | Chance per box | Chance per case |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Manga / Super Alternate Art | 1 in 40 | 0.3 | 2% | 26% |

| SP (special reprint) | 1 in 6 | 2.0 | 16% | 87% |
| Gold / special DON!! | 1 in 6 | 2.0 | 16% | 87% |
| Alternate art DON!! | 1 | 12 | 63% | Every case |
| Pandaman art | 1 in 2 | 7.2 | 45% | Every case |
| Leader alternate art | 1 in 3 | 4.0 | 28% | Every case |
| Alternate art (R / SR / SEC) | 1.3 | 16 | 74% | Every case |
| Secret Rare (SEC) | 1 in 2 | 7.2 | 45% | Every case |
| Super Rare (SR) | 7 | 84 | Every box | Every case |
| Leader | 6 | 72 | Every box | Every case |

What the odds mean in practice
- Manga rares are the lottery ticket: about 1 in 40 boxes. Even a full case of 12 boxes only has about a 26% chance of containing one.
- SP cards (special reprints) show up in about 1 of 6 boxes, roughly 2 per case.
- Secret Rares appear in about 45% of boxes; you'll usually see 7 or so per case.
- Alternate arts average 1.3 per box, so most boxes have at least one.
- Everything else (Super Rares, Rares, Leaders, Uncommons, Commons) arrives in near-fixed numbers every box, and most of it is worth very little on the singles market.
These are averages. Boxes aren't guaranteed to follow them, and with 11 kinds of random hits, two boxes from the same case can look completely different.
Where a box's value comes from (OP-17 The World's Strongest Warriors)
Pull rates only matter once you put prices on them. Using today's TCGplayer prices for OP-17 The World's Strongest Warriors, an average opened box is worth $171.68, but a typical box is worth $96.43 (half of boxes do worse), against $305.32 sealed. The three biggest pulls below make up 65% of the average value.
| Pull | Per box | Avg card | Adds to an average box |
|---|---|---|---|
| Manga / Super Alternate Art | 1 in 40 | $1,732.41 | $43.31 |
| SP (special reprint) | 1 in 6 | $226.60 | $38.52 |
| Alternate art (R / SR / SEC) | 1.3 | $22.02 | $29.28 |
| Secret Rare (SEC) | 1 in 2 | $20.73 | $12.44 |
| Super Rare (SR) | 7 | $1.70 | $11.87 |
| Leader alternate art | 1 in 3 | $25.77 | $8.50 |
| Common | 168 | $0.05 | $8.14 |
| Rare | 17 | $0.36 | $6.05 |
| Gold / special DON!! | 1 in 6 | $21.82 | $3.71 |
| Uncommon | 72 | $0.05 | $3.60 |
| Treasure Rare | 1 in 13 | $40.01 | $3.20 |
| Pandaman art | 1 in 2 | $2.07 | $1.24 |
| Alternate art DON!! | 1 | $1.00 | $1.00 |
| Leader | 6 | $0.14 | $0.82 |
That gap between average and typical is the whole story of opening One Piece boxes: the average is pulled up by rare manga, SP and alternate-art hits that most boxes never get. Only 8% of simulated OP-17 The World's Strongest Warriors boxes were worth more than the sealed price. How these rates are estimated
- Rates per box: about 7 SR, 0.6 SEC, 1.3 alternate arts, 0.33 leader alternate arts, 1 SP per 6 boxes, 1 Treasure Rare per case, and about 1 Manga or Super Alternate Art per 3–4 cases (1 in 40 boxes).
- Bulk commons and uncommons are counted at 5¢ each, which is roughly what bulk sells for.
- Every card of the same rarity is treated as equally likely. In reality some prints may be rarer, which our model can't see.
