FoilKraken (“we”, “us”) runs foilkraken.com, a free site with trading card prices, booster box value estimates, price alerts and a collection tracker. This page explains what information we collect and what we do with it. We keep it to what the site needs to work.
What we collect
- Account details: if you create an account, your name, email address and password. Passwords are stored as secure hashes, never in plain text.
- What you save: the cards in your collection (and what you paid, if you enter it) and the price alerts you set.
- Usage data: we use Google Analytics to understand which pages people visit. It uses cookies and collects information such as your approximate location, device and the pages you view.
- Technical logs: like any website, our servers and our network provider (Cloudflare) record basic request information such as IP addresses, to keep the site secure and working.
How we use it
- To run your account, collection and price alerts.
- To send the emails you ask for: account confirmation and price alerts. We don't send marketing email.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it.
- To keep the site secure and prevent abuse.
We don't sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We use a few service providers to run the site. They only process your data to provide their service to us:
- Supabase (database), DigitalOcean (web server) and Cloudflare (network and security), in the United States.
- Resend, to deliver emails.
- Google Analytics, for visitor statistics.
Links to TCGplayer may be affiliate links. When you click one, TCGplayer may set its own cookies to attribute a purchase to us. Their privacy policy applies on their site.
Your choices
- You can turn off or delete any price alert from your alerts page at any time.
- You can remove cards from your collection at any time.
- To delete your account and everything linked to it, or to get a copy of your data, email [email protected].
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.
Children
FoilKraken is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
